Chinese Tobacco is a warm unique blend of spices, wood and tobacco with coriander and a slightly animalistic accord of oud (agarwood resin). The fragrance is inspired by artist and brand founder Johan Bergelin's travels to Kuala Lumpur.
The peace and love sign was created by Gerald Holtom in the 1950s and was adopted by anti-war activists in the 1960s, along with the hand-held peace sign. The name "19-69" means exactly that: freedom, tolerance and counterculture. The scent of Chinese Tabacco also reminds Gerald Holtom of visiting a restaurant. It was late at night, the air was filled with wonderful aromas wafting from the kitchen, and a group of men were smoking and playing cards.
Top notes: Italian bergamot, tobacco, pink pepper, lemon.
Middle notes: ginger, coriander.
Base notes: incense, cedar, resin, oud (agarwood), vetiver.
